UIA Planning Retreat

Why:
We will be having our annual UIA retreat to plan the future of UIA along with forming a vision statement to guide us on how we want to move forward.  This will be a great opportunity to collaborate with many representatives from various faith and spiritual groups as we seek to bring spiritual wellness and resources to The Ohio State University.

UIA Past News & Events

New Student Orientations
During the summer of 2010, members of the University Interfaith Association collaborated together to staff a UIA information table at all of the 28 new student orientations this summer in the Drake Union.  Incoming first year and transfer students, as well as their families, found the information at the UIA table about all the different religious and spiritual groups on and around campus very helpful as students begin their college career at The Ohio State University.

Memorial Service
On May 26, 2010, members of the University Interfaith Association along with staff and students from the Offices of Student Life and Student Advocacy hosted a interfaith Memorial Service in the Ohio Union in remembrance of all OSU students who had died during the school year.  Everyone was welcome to attend and participate in this service of hope and remembrance.

Blessing of the New Ohio Union
On March 30, 2010, members of the University Interfaith Association hosted an interfaith blessing ceremony to open the brand new Ohio Union.  The event consisted of a procession around the Ohio Union, an interfaith prayer service in the 3rd Floor Davis Foundation Interfaith Prayer and Reflection Room, and a reception in the Stanley D. Gottsegen Lounge.
