UIA Planning Retreat
On September 7, 2011, representatives from all of the UIA member organizations, as well as representatives from different offices at The Ohio State University participated in the annual UIA Planning Retreat. Our speaker was Dafina Lazarus Stewart on the topic of religious privilege.  It was held at Sharon Woods MetroPark.

New Student Orientations
During the summer of 2011, members of the University Interfaith Association collaborate together to staff a UIA information table at all of the 28 new student orientations this summer in the Drake Union.  Incoming first year and transfer students, as well as their families, found the information at the UIA table about all the different religious and spiritual groups on and around campus very helpful as students begin their college career at The Ohio State University.

OSU Memorial Service
On May 19, 2011, members of the University Interfaith Association along with staff and students from the Offices of Student Life, Student Advocacy, the Ohio Union, and Parent/Family Relations hosted an interfaith Memorial Service in the Ohio Union in remembrance of all OSU students who had died during the school year.  Over 100 people participated.  Everyone was welcome to attend and participate in this service of hope and remembrance.

R.A. Training and Presenting at Parent & Family Weekend
On September 13, 2010, the UIA presented two workshops for residence life staff training on the topic of spirituality and resources on campus.  It was one of most well attended of the workshops offered to RA's.  The UIA also presented a workshop for Parent & Family Weekend on Oct. 16 in the Ohio Union.

Blessing of the New Ohio Union
On March 30, 2010, members of the University Interfaith Association hosted an interfaith blessing ceremony to open the brand new Ohio Union.  The event consisted of a procession around the Ohio Union, an interfaith prayer service in the 3rd Floor Davis Foundation Interfaith Prayer and Reflection Room, and a reception in the Stanley D. Gottsegen Lounge.
